About Me

"The main purpose for the trip and the activities is to expose our kids to symphony players, actors, and rhythmic artists, conductors and directors that are at the pinnacle of their craft. The hope being, that our students will connect the fact that we are not different as people – as humans, but what these people have done is invested the time and hard work, and preparation and education in their own talents to become the best." Bob Evans

Sunday, ooops, Monday, 10am.

You know you are on vacation when you see a Bob Evans. But, we are at McDonald's for the second time in 5 hours.

Trip stats at trip departure from La Crescent at 2:08 pm:
3 Band Conductors (one in his signature Khaki Dockers)
28 Chaperones
116 Energizer Bunnies
133 fully functional cell phones
96 fully charged ipods
8 game consoles

Trip Stats at 3:am in Ohio:
3 Band Conductors (one now in his not so signature sweats, flip flops and black gold toe socks)
28 Chaperones
6 Energizer Bunnies
100 Teenage bodies partially asleep contorted all over every bus surface.

Notable Moments:
Eric Devine: I think my body is rejecting breakfast (McDonald's)
Chaperone: Could you please have it be done rejecting it before you get back on the bus?

Mr. Copp was nice enough to order his bus the "Bus A meal at the Eat'n Park for breakfast. Wish I had seen the look on his face when he learned he actually ordered the Buffet. This Pennsylvania accent has clearly proven problematic for him.

The clinics in Madison were awesome not only for the kids but our conductors said they also learned so much.

The kids have been amazing, playful, respectful. Plan to get to the hotel around 4:30.

All is well!  kw

  1. Mr C here, things are cruising along nicely... and we performed an excellent and very productive clinic with Dr. Scott Teeple. Our students raised there level of performance incredibly in a very short amount of time. Looking forward to NY clinic!! Proud in Pennsylvania - Mr. C
