Yup. Walked out of Lion King tonight in Times Square to what appeared to be a mistimed New Years Eve Party only to learn that Ricky Martin had just stepped out of a limo for 10 seconds. And SNAP! I have half of his face.
Long, busy incredible day which was most certainly highlighted by the police escort into the adorable town of Long Beach, New York (home of Lancer Insurance), a quick Jazz Concert for their employees, a police escort to City Hall where the Mayor declared March 30 as La Crescent Lancers Band Day!
Another highlight: dropping 116 kids off at the beach and watching ALL of them ditch their shoes asap and run as fast as they could toward the ocean shrieking w/ excitement. It was so much fun to watch. (The picture does NOT capture the joy). We attempted an all band jump shot (ask your kid)....we'll see how that turned out. :)
Tomorrow Mr. C says we can sleep "in" until 7:30. Clearly there are different definitions of sleeping in. Just sayin'....
Off to Cleveland tomorrow and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!
