About Me

"The main purpose for the trip and the activities is to expose our kids to symphony players, actors, and rhythmic artists, conductors and directors that are at the pinnacle of their craft. The hope being, that our students will connect the fact that we are not different as people – as humans, but what these people have done is invested the time and hard work, and preparation and education in their own talents to become the best." Prepare to be star struck....

The moment you've all been waiting for. Proof. Fuzzy. Blurry. Pixelated. But proof....

I feel like I'm pretty much famous myself for getting these shots. But I don't give out autographs. Sorry.

Not Done Yet...

Going through the pictures....WHAT A TRIP!  Mr. Copp and I are still working out the details but your student soon will be bringing home an order form for a CD with over 200 jpgs from the trip on it for your own  use. All proceeds from the CD sales will go toward the new band uniforms.

The DVD slideshow (set to music) will premier at the band concert on May 10. All pictures  in the dvd will be on the CD and many additional images are on the CD as well. The jpgs on the CD will be accessible for you to print or upload onto your computer. Stay tuned.....

I'm still holding out on the Ricky Martin photo's but will share w/ you the latest trend in digital photography among the teens: Jump Shots. Here is a Jump Shot as interpreted by a couple of nearly middle aged mom's........

The grand entrance to the Senior Suite....

Home Again, Home Again, Jiggety Jig Jig...

Well.....the LCHS Band caravan rolled into town at around 11 pm. Happy to report a safe, uneventful trip home.

The Seniors created for themselves (in the back of their bus) the Senior Suite. Entering the suite as a non-Senior only required two very simple things: 1) you had to use the restroom and couldn't possibly wait until a stop and 2) you chanted "I love Seniors more than I love myself." After that, you were blessed w/ entrance into the Senior Suite AND the restroom (however, no lingering in the suite of course). (Upon arriving home, it has also come to my attention that there was a Sharpie Tattoo Parlour within the suite......Um. Mr C?????)

Please continue to check in the next couple days...I want to wrap this blog up in a tidy manner and have a few closing blogs yet to post.

Stay tuned.......and know that your kid(s) are SUPER excited about getting for school in the morning......

I FOUND THE REST OF RICKY!!!

Great news ~ after sorting through my pictures from last night, I found another shot w/ the other half of Ricky Martins face! I want to keep you reading this blog for a little while yet so will refrain from posting the pictures. I almost feel famous for even owning these pictures.

We said goodbye to NYC this morning and obviously NYC was sad to see us leave as she was gloomy and crying. Or raining. One of those.

We are now poolside in Cleveland w/ a gazillion Lancers that are thrilled to be moving, moving, moving not on a sidewalk and not in a bus. Laughing, giggling and playing Lancers are the most refreshing Lancers to watch.

Tomorrow: Rock and Roll Hall of Fame w/ a performance by our very own Lancer Rock Band. We'll hit the road again early afternoon.

I will continue this blog for a couple more days and, if all things go well in my brain, will conclude w/ a piece in the Houston County News and an update on CD's for purchase of trip pictures etc....

Stay tuned!
